How this works
Most exchanges charge different fees depending on whether an order adds liquidity to the order book ("maker") or removes it ("taker"). Maker fees are typically lower, or even negative on some exchanges, as an incentive for providing liquidity. Market orders are almost always taker orders.
The round-trip figure estimates the total fee cost of both opening and closing a position at the taker rate — useful for judging how much a trade's expected profit needs to clear before fees make it worthwhile. Actual fee tiers vary by exchange and often decrease at higher trading volumes.
